Leave logs within the RMZ: Create or retain at least four leave logs per acre within the riparian management zone. Use sound forest management practices where insect and disease concerns exist.

Road closing: Ensure that the road surface is in stable condition when the road is closed. Seed and fertilize disturbed surfaces as necessary.

Cavity trees: Include a minimum of six cavity trees, potential cavity trees and/or snags per acre within the remaining stand on non-clearcut sites.
